Oxford West and Abingdon MP Nicola Blackwood attended the official opening of the newly refurbished facilities at Oaken Holt Care Home.
As well as being given a tour of the refurbished care facilities by members of staff, Ms. Blackwood took time to speak to residents about their everyday lives and activities.
During her visit Ms. Blackwood had the opportunity to chat with the Home Manager and staff, who took him through the range of therapeutic activities offered by Oaken Holt.
Bernie Allen, Oaken Holt Manager said:
“Everyone at Oaken Holt was very proud to welcome our MP to the home and show her our fantastic care facilities. I want to say a big thank you to Ms. Blackwood on behalf of residents and staff for making this such a special day.
It was lovely for us all to have the chance to meet Ms. Blackwood and tell her about the events we run with the local community; she was very interested in the range of activities that we offer our residents at Oaken Holt.
Caring Homes is passionate about ensuring that the highest standards of specialist care and our newly refurbished facilities enable us to continue to deliver the level of care we pride ourselves on.”
