Registered to care for 29 service users the home was largely purpose-built having been extended from an existing property, providing care in 25 single and 2 double rooms (17 of which have en-suite facilities).
The home had experienced a consistently high level of occupancy having secured an excellent reputation within the area for residential care along with care for physical disability. It was operated with a full-time registered manager and offered a huge opportunity for a new operator to acquire a well run, well established business.
Rosie Adlem, Associate Director at Christie + Co who handled the sale, says: “It was a pleasure to work with our client to assist them in the sale of their home which they had owned for over 10 years. I am also delighted for the new owners who I have no doubt, through their wealth of experience within the sector, will be able to further develop the business and continue with its strong reputation.
“The sale of Deansgrove Residential Home, amongst many other transactions which Christie + Co has been involved in during 2011, highlights the continuing confidence in the care sector. Experienced operators continue to look for good quality homes and interest remains high on every opportunity with which we are currently dealing.”
